The Alarmed Controlled Emergency Gate is used as an Emergency Exit Gate where emergency passage is in the same direction as the entry gates. It is typically found at either a closed checkout aisle or a Customer Service Desk, where the customer can exit if they have made no purchases.
The Alarmed Controlled Emergency Gate is designed to open through 90 degrees and return under spring tension. The gate can be utilised as a No Purchase Exit Gate and is controlled via a solenoid lock operated remotely by a member of staff. If anyone attempts to exit via the gate without it being released the alarm sounds and the light flashes. Power to the gate is requried via a 12v supply. Once opened the gate will close under spring tension and lock until a signal is received or the gate is pushed.
The Alarmed Controlled Emergency Gate has a body of mild steel in a chrome finish but can be powder coated in a RAL of your choice or be satin chromed. Standard arms are supplied from 500mm - 1000mm (in 50mm increments). Full depth arms (767mm) can be ordered for additional security with either a perspex or white infil panel. Manual breakout is available in case of emergency, in the direction of normal operation. Manual reset is required.
All gates are fitted on 1060mm uprights. To determine the size of arm measure the gap and if you require a single gate minus 150mm for a facing pair minus 250mm (e.g. 750mm gap -150mm = 600mm arm size).
To determine whether a left or right handed gate is required imagine standing behind the supporting post and looking down the length of the arm. As someone walks through would the gate arm move through your left or your right quaadrant? If through the right it would require a right-handed gate.
